Over 200 Stolen Cellular Phone Applications used in Multiple Identity Thefts

Two identity thieves from Idaho used customer information from over 200 cellular phone applications to create over 50 fraudulent identification cards and obtained credit cards in multiple victims names.

Database Analyst stole Financial Information on over 7 million people

A database analyst working for a Florida based consumer reporting agency stole consumer information on 8.4 million people. The information stolen included names and addresses and, for 7.1 million people, either bank account information or credit and debit card information or sometimes both. The identity theft victims were from all fifty states, the Virgin Islands, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and various foreign countries.
